COLOR METRIC

Objective:have a deep knowledge of chemistry and the fundamental principles of colorimetry in the first two days, in the following three days the participant learns the knowledge to apply a tailored color where each palette is tailor-made for the customer.

Plan

First day:

Morning

• Presentation of participants, trainers, teams
• Sharing of Philip Martin's method and terminology, argumentation and reflections on important historical notes regarding colouring. Knowledge of the Metrics of colour, with respective reading and correct interpretation of Oswald's star, then translating the concepts into three-dimensionality on the Munsell Tree.

Afternoon

• Correct definition of brown color with respective reproduction formula. Activities at the tables will follow with the use of the 3 correctors on the white lock.
• Analysis and subdivision of the three blocks of tone heights, with respective activity at the tables with the aid of tempera
• Explanation of the definition of lightening background with the correct combination of the respective tone height.
• Method for the control and balancing of the lightening fund thanks to the use of the corrector(s), followed by the respective activities at the tables with the clay

Second day:

Morning

• Briefing with any clarifications on doubts from the previous day.
• Sharing of the composition of the activators and explanation of the function of the different volumes. Activities with effervescent capsules will follow.
• Explanation of the chemical reaction that occurs when mixing a color with an activator.
• Sharing the components of a color.
• Explanation of the 4 color technologies present in the professional market with in-depth reference to the Philip Martins coloring segments.

ARMOCROMY AND CHROMATIC MATHEMATICS

Target: the participant learns the knowledge to apply a tailored color where each palette is tailored to the customer, also with the help of Chromatic Mathematics, the student will learn the importance of the sum of the pigments inside a color tube.

The participant will perform a work on a model with armochromatic analysis and will apply within the project, color recipes with Chromatic Mathematics

Plan

Third day:

Morning

• Presentation of participants, trainers, teams
• Sharing of Philip Martin's method and terminology, based on knowledge of the foundations of Color Analysis
• Topics: Itten's wheel and techniques
• Saturation Value Intensity Contrast

Afternoon

• The 4 seasons and subgroups
• The drapes and all the tools to make an armochromatic diagnosis
• Workshop, the participants will make the armochromatic diagnosis among themselves with the help of the Philip Martins numbering by putting tone heights and reflections (e.g. 6:19)

Fourth day:

Morning

• Feedback with answers to questions about the previous day
• Color math, explanation of the amount of pigment inside a tube of color and what happens when man-made pigments are added to natural ones and between man-made/artificial.

Afternoon

• Application of chromatic mathematics with a project where a lightening technique, basic depth and three-dimensionality on the lengths must be inserted. All on poupettes
• Completion of work and explanation of the choices and evaluation of what was positive and what could be improved.

Fifth day:

• Feedback with answers to questions about the previous day
• Application of all Amochromatic and Chromatic Mathematics knowledge on a model
• Presentations of works and discussion on the technical aspects
• Delivery of certificates
